Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of CDSS, this position is responsible for the overall mapping and GIS needs for CDSS and related departments as well as providing corporate GIS support when needed. This is a temporary opportunity for a period of up to 18 months.
Qualifications
- College diploma/degree in Urban & Regional Planning Technology or related program, plus six to twelve months of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid Class G Driver’s Licence with an abstract acceptable to City guidelines.
Required skills and ability
- Demonstrated technical and practical implementation, administration and maintenance of GIS applications including experience in map production, reporting and data analysis with an emphasis on the ability to utilize the ESRI suite of ArcGIS products;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to gather requirements from end users, identify gaps and implement solutions; and
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Salary Range: $42,806.40 – $65,865.80 based on a 35 hour work week
