There is a planned power outage that may impact some services as upgrades to City Hall’s generator are completed. Upgrades are scheduled for 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday, November 11, during which time City Hall will be closed in honour of Remembrance Day.
Telephone systems may be unavailable from City Hall, Strangway Community Centre, and Sarnia Fire Rescue Services Station 1. During this time, telephone calls may ring unanswered, or the line may be answered but remain silent.
The phone system outage will not affect the operation of emergency services.
For afterhours assistance related to animal control, Public Works, or parks, please call Sarnia Police at 519-344-8861.
In the event of an emergency, please dial 911.
The power outage is anticipated to be brief; however, as with all electrical upgrades, there is a risk that the project may take longer than anticipated. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
